Toddler Activity: Sow Some Seeds
Always Be Safe! Watch your toddlers closely while doing this activity.
What you will need:
For this outdoor activity, you will need hand gloves, some shovels, and water sprinkler.
To get started, get some plant seeds from a local nursery and sow the seeds in the backyard with the use of a shovel; make some holes, put the seeds and cover the seeds with the soil in the hole. Do this with gloves in your hand and the hand of your toddlers. Plant as many seeds as your garden can accept and as you like. Your toddler will feel the unique smell of the soil and experience the pleasure of planting.
This will help develop the gross motor skills and sensory skills of the toddlers.
