Toddler Activity: Making Pasta Necklaces

What you will need:
Cotton thread or wool string
Long uncooked cylindrical pasta preferably colored ones

Can your toddler be enticed by necklaces or other jewelry? It will entice them if they are allowed to do it themselves; here is an indoor activity that can keep your toddlers busy at home.

To get started, stretch out the cotton thread or string and cut it into pieces that are long enough to cover the neck when worn. Now, let a toddler put the string through a pasta at a time and alternate the colors of the pasta to make it look more colorful. Once they are through, help them tie the loose ends. Your toddlers can wear this necklace to admire their handiwork.

It helps to improve hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and finger dexterity.
